Scottish Highland Football Under 17 League - East, Banks O’ Dee v Fraserburgh, Monday 11th March 2019

Young Broch defeated at 'Dee

The home side took the lead on 2 minutes after Kacper Lewecki nodded home from a corner. It was 2-0 eleven minutes later when Callan Gray slotted home from 18 yards out. The Broch pulled a goal back on 15 minutes when Ryan Strachan latched onto a long ball and rifled home a half volley from the edge of the box.

Andrew Dunbar then produced a good save to deny Callan Gray on 19 minutes but he was helpless a minute later when Calum Brown forced the ball home from a corner. Michael Mitchell then hit the post with a rasping drive on 24 minutes before the home side went further ahead seven minutes later when Kacper Lewecki saw his shot well saved by Andrew Dunbar but Jack MacLennan was on hand to volley home the rebound.

The Broch had a great chance to reduce the leeway on 36 minutes when Ross Cow was upended inside the box by Lucas Muller who received a yellow card for his trouble. Scott Murison saw his spot kick well saved by the home keeper. Three minutes later there was further frustration for the Broch as Logan Watt’s header was cleared off the line.

Half time: Banks O’ Dee 4 Fraserburgh 1

The second half was a bit of a procession as Callan Gray completed his hat-trick for the home side with goals on 55 & 66 minutes, Calum Brown curled home his second on 77 minutes and either side of this substitute Tristyn Clark netted a hat-trick with strikes on 64, 72 & 83 minutes to complete the scoring.
